Skin Care Review: L'Oreal Ombrelle with Mexoryl
|
by s. rasmussen, scottsdale, AZ, u.s.a.
Rating Good
Benefits
UVA protection and moderate price.
Drawbacks
This product seemed to 'liquidfy' and melt off in hot weather.
Details I tried both the regular version and the water resistant version. The water resistant version was harder to rub in and seemed to be more like a vaseline based product. My skin seemed to accept either version well enough though.
Strangely, when it was hot, they seemed to 'melt'. I got the feeling I was swimming in my clothes and it was messy. I liked the water resistant version better, but not for water resistance.
The fact the price is less than half of other products with similar active ingredients and sunscreens need to be applied generously, Ombrelle is still a good choice.
I am not convinced other products sold for UVA protection are worth a penney. I intend to be a skin cancer survivor.
Conclusions
In lieu of no other options, I still would have to reccomend it.
