Skin Care Review: NO-AD Sunblock
|
by M. Libs, Chicago, IL USA
Rating Adverse Effects
Benefits
Easy to apply, not so thick that you can't rub into skin. Inexpensive and affordable.
Drawbacks
The sunblock NO-AD absorbed too quickly into my skin, causing me to burn too easily.
Details I was recommended this 45 SPF sunblock by a friend who claimed it was a superior sunblock. My boyfriend and I are both fair skinned, and spent a week in the Caribbean. After 3 days and SEVERAL applications each day and after each dive in the water, we both developed severe sunburns that involved fever, blistering and peeling. While the bottle claimed "Water Proof", we quickly learned that it was not only NOT water proof, but lacking in sun protection as well. Throughout the remainder of our visit, we used SPF-comparable sunblock that protected us far better.
Conclusions
recommended when not in tropical areas, it's potency weaker in closer sun proximity.
