Skin Care Review: Clinique Super City Block Sheer SPF25
|
by Eva Victoria Sandnes
Rating No effect
Benefits
It says by the manufacturer that it has Broad-Spectrum protection against UV-rays.
Drawbacks
Low UVA protection.
Details Even though it has excellent cosmetic properties, like consistency, spreadability etc. It is not a good UV protector unfortunately.
It contains 8,8% TiO2. It protects against UVB rays but it does not protect against UVA.
Sunscreens that contain min. 20% ZnO/ or advanced filters like the sunscreens manufactured and sold in the EU by Nivea(TinosorbS+M) or L'Oreal (MexorylXL)will provide much better protection.
If you live in the US you should look for products that either contain ZnO 20%<, TiO2+ZnO totally 20%<; Avobenzone together with Octocrylene or MexorylSX(stabilizes AVO).
Conclusions
Don't buy it!
Price (paid by reviewer) $ 20
