I learned the hard way that merely doing cardiovascular exercise was not enough. It seemed running more was not maximizing the benefit as far as body change is concerned. That is until I tried to incorporate weight-bearing exercises on my off days to spruce up my routine. Muscle strengthening not only helped to sculpt my body more, it also helped my running performance. If you are at a workout plateau, try incorporating another element, preferably weights, to your regime.
