I believe one of the best things I decided to do after 40 was to hire a personal trainer. I was gaining weight and miserable. I decided if there was one thing I would do for myself...an indulgence, was to find someone who really knew fitness. I found a personal trainer who completely changed my life. My eating habits were the WORST. I had no idea what good eating was about. After two years of weight training three times a week for one hour, I look a million times better and feel great. I recently had a baby, and I worked out during pregnancy, my labor and delivery was a breeze and my recovery time was half of what it takes most women. I just went to a wedding last weekend and people were raving how good I looked, especially after I just had a baby the year before. Through my trainer, I now know what to eat to nourish my body and what to stay away from. This is from someone who ate gummy worms and chips for lunch. I learned to cut cost on training by getting a partner and now it's very cost-effective and fun.
