Hair Care Tip: Avocado hair treatment
|
submitted by Lucy, Cheyenne, Wyoming, 82001, WY USA
Tip description / details: My hair has turned dry and lifeless after my third baby and years of being a very lean, muscular fitness trainer. I took a friend's advice and started treating my hair a couple times a week with mashed avocado...(I smear it on my face and neck as well.) I leave it in my long hair for 30 minutes, rinse, and wash and condition as usual. My hair is definitely healthier and is growing much faster!!!...Yippee! I'm guessing the nutrient dense avocado nourishes the hair follicles and scalp, which is really where healthy hair comes from. I am over 40 but most people guess me early 30s... :) Cost-wise, in Wyoming, avocados can be pretty expensive ($1.99 each), so I talk to the produce person and do a little negotiating. I've been able to talk them into giving me the super mushy avocados in the stack for half price, all in the name of beauty!...lol
Ingredients: mashed avocado!
How to prepare: use super ripe avocado and mash it with fork.
How to use: apply liberally over face, neck and hair
Results (observed by submitter): radiance and new hair growth
