Hair Care Tip: DIY Moisturizing Hair Mask
|
submitted by Doaa, Toronto, Canada
Tip description / details: If you have curly unruly hair like me with a lot of untamable frizz, then this recipe is for you. With many ingredients right from your kitchen, you can treat yourself to this incredibly moisturizing hair mask. The most important thing is to stick with it and use it at least weekly.
Ingredients: Honey, coconut oil, yogurt, egg white, almond oil, and some leave in conditioner, I use Kerastase, available for 2.50 a sachet at most drug marts.
How to prepare: Mix honey, yogurt, and egg white together, stir well and then add oils (coconut and almond). Stir again then finally add a leave in conditioner. Blend all in a mixer and let it sit for a few minutes to set.
How to use: Apply on dry hair and focus on roots and ends. Sit with it for at least 30 minutes after which you need to massage your scalp or get someone to pamper you if possible. It is best to use a hot blow-dryer over the mask to add heat and get the effect of the oils. Then rinse thoroughly and shampoo as normal.
Results (observed by submitter): Moisturizing and definite frizz tamer. Gives shine and luster to damaged hair.
