Hair Care Tip: Taking the frizz out of curly hair

submitted by Anonymous

Tip description / details:
I have color-treated, natural curly hair. I have had problems with dry, frizzy hair, but don't want to stop coloring my hair. I have been able to help my hair to be shinier and less frizzy by following this routine: I don't wash my hair every day- it dries it out too much. Instead I wash it every 2-3 days. I use a moisturizing shampoo (Neutrogena), rinse in warm water, then put in conditioner and wait 30 minutes before rinsing it out using cool water. The cool water helps to smooth the hair shaft. I press the water out of my hair with a towel, making sure not to rough up the hair shaft with rubbing. Then I smooth Neutrogena Healing Shine Serum through my hair, using extra on the ends, and leave it in my hair. I avoid using this on my bangs because it makes them look oily. When my hair dries, if there are areas which look frizzy I use more Neutrogena serum on these areas.

moisturizing shampoo, conditioner, Neutrogena Triple Moisture Healing Serum
