Skin Care Tip: Aspirin mask
|
submitted by Jay Pulliam, Winston Salem, NC USA
Tip description / details: Aspirin contains salicylic acid, which is a beta hydroxy acid and helps to slough off dead cells and clear clogged pores and reduce production of skin oil. But use with caution. Overusing this mask can irritate skin as any acidic treatment.
Ingredients: About 5 uncoated unflavored aspirin tablets, about a tsp of water, aloe vera gel, or honey
How to prepare: Prepare in palm of hand or small cup. Take 4 or 5 uncoated unflavored aspirin and mix with a bit of water, honey, or aloe vera gel. Dissolve into a grainy paste.
How to use: Apply the paste you prepared to the skin, especially areas prone to breakouts/clogged pores. Avoid nostrils and eye area. Keep up to 10-15 minutes and rinse.
Results (observed by submitter): Doing this 2 times per week has kept my skin clear and glowing
Costs involved: minimal
