Skin Care Tip: Targeted use of tretinoin in acne-prone areas

submitted by Thomas Wright, Arnold, MD USA

Tip description / details:
I've been using a Tretinoin (Retin-A) all over my face. However, I actually only need the product on certain areas where I break out. I use it where my nose meets my face and for the first time in ages I have NOT sustained a pimple or blemishes in that area. Usually I'd get 2-3 pimples/blemishes per week in that area of my face. So, directed/concentrated use of the product is really good!

Ingredients:
Prescription by dermatologist

How to prepare:
Obtain stronger concentrations (0.1%) for problem areas, weaker for non-problem areas

How to use:
Just apply with Q-Tip

Results (observed by submitter):
No blemishes for weeks in areas that got them 2-3 times per week !!!

Costs involved:
$70.00 per tube
