Skin Care Tip: Toothpaste for acne
|
submitted by Rebekah B, Philadelphia, PA usa
Tip description / details: Sometimes before bed I apply a dab of toothpaste to an emerging pimple - this seems to stunt its development overnight, which is when I find that most pimples develop into zits. This should be done to emerging pimples - does not work as well on whiteheads.
Ingredients: I've tried this with a variety of toothpastes - most typical drugstore brands. Colgate, crest, etc.
How to prepare:
How to use:
Results (observed by submitter): This has been very effective - I wake up with fewer whiteheads! I think that I would recommend this to almost anybody. I have a lot of acne and I find that if I apply toothpaste to the red emerging pimples they hardly develop into larger lesions. This has been much more effective for me than drugstore antiacne remedies, even expensive ones!
Costs involved: None
