At 54 years of age I have only recently extended my successful facial anti-aging skincare regime below my chin to my neck and hands, the two other areas most in need of rejuvenating. Age spots, wrinkles, and thickened skin have taken their toll there also. But until recently I only used occasional glycolic acid lotion (from Paula's Choice) and an emollient cream sporadically. My increase in use of exfoliants and anti-oxidant rich moisturizers (plus a hydroquinone to lighten the age spots on my hands) as well as much more assiduous use of over 15 spf sunscreens is already paying off. I now reapply sunscreen to my hands almost every time I wash them during daylight hours, as well as reapply it every 2 hours to my face if I am perspiring heavily or swimming. The skin on my neck is smoother in texture and thus more youthful looking. The brown age spots on my hands are lightening and the coarse texture is improving.
