Skin Care Tip: Minimizing damage from sunbathing
|
submitted by Allison, Brisbane, Australia
Tip description / details: If you are someone who does enjoy being in the sun, but you are conscious of the damage that the sun does, I have found an approach which appears to work for me. I allow at most two lots of 30 minute sunbathing per week, and after each session I apply vitamin E oil directly to my face. This enables me to have a healthy tanned glow, while also combating the damage that the sun causes. I also take a complete break from the sun for 6 months of the year.
Ingredients: Purchase vitamin E oil which contains mixed tocopherols - don't use a synthetic version.
How to prepare: So simple, no need to prepare
How to use:
Results (observed by submitter): After doing this for the past few years I have found that my skin has retained a very good condition, with no sun damage apparent - I am 32 and people often say I look heaps younger. I learned of this approach from a friend who is 36, has a lovely tan during summer and not a wrinkle on her face... Although of course, I can't vouch that this will work for everyone. My skin is mediterranean olive... so perhaps it depends on skin type.
Costs involved: low cost
