Skin Care Tip: Omega 3 fatty acids for better skin
|
submitted by Sarah Roberts, LA, CA USA
Tip description / details: I stir flax seed oil into maple syrup and eat about a tablespoon a day, (I get oil which has been filtered so that it's more tasteless). This helps my skin stay more moisturized, seems to make my skin less wrinkly, and also helps my nails not to flake. As well it helps with dandruff. My skin also appears to look smoother and healthier.
You can also put the maple syrup/oil mixture into smoothies, but the one thing you can't do is heat it, or you destroy the essential fatty acids in it.
Ingredients: Flax seed oil (filtered for taste)
Maple Syrup
How to prepare: Mix the two, then eat straight or use on pancakes, in smoothies, etc.
How to use: Eat.
Results (observed by submitter): Smoother skin, healthier look in my face, better hair and nails, and more color in my cheeks.
Costs involved: $13/bottle
