Skin Care Tip: Enzyme peels and sensitive skin
|
submitted by Margaret Cowley, Ann Arbor, MI US
Tip description / details: Once a week I give myself an at home enzyme peel. The enzyme becomes active when mixed with an activating gel and needs to be kept moist to continue working. This is usually accomplished with steam. I have sensitive skin aggravated by moist heat. To keep the enzyme moist I apply saran wrap to my face. This is a bit awkward but keeps the enzyme moist enough to do its work!
Ingredients:
How to prepare: Usually enzyme peels come as powder to be mixed with water or gel before use.
How to use: Apply and cover with saran wrap to keep moist. Wash off after a while.
Results (observed by submitter): Great! Enzymes are gentle enough for sensitive skin and with moist heat out of the equation it is a perfect exfoliator.
