Skin Care Tip: Under eye circles
|
submitted by Jennifer Valente, Glendale, AZ USA
Tip description / details: Dark under eye circles are usually has a lot to do with genetics, however, there are some things you can do to help minimize this issue. First, enough sleep is essential to combat under eye circles. Second, first fifteen minutes of waking up use a cold compress on your eyes, applying gentle pressure. Putting 2 spoons in the freezer for a few minutes will even work. After the cold compress, lightly massage under your eyes to bring more blood flow to the area. Do not overdo it - 30 seconds for each eye will suffice. Third, at least 8 glasses of water a day will greatly help. Fourth, using a good moisturizer before applying your make-up will help soften your skin. Do not overdue your foundation! First start by using a yellow colored under eye concealer, rather than one that matches your skin tone. Gently dap the product under your eyes and softly blend-do not tug at the skin. Next follow up with foundation and set with pressed powder. Do not overstress if you have a slight color showing. Depending on eye color, play with different eye shadows to help bring out the color of your eyes, distracting from the slight circles.
