Skin Care Tip: Effective home remedy for oily skin
|
submitted by lavanya, Bangalore, KS India
Tip description / details: Hi all, here is a home remedy that I have tried and it worked wonders for me, so I wanted to share the same and if it helps anyone else who reads this, I'll be more than happy.
This remedy is for oily and sensitive skin type. It uses only kitchen products, so is cost effective also. But it needs a little bit of patience.
Advantages of this pack:
1) Reduces tanning by sun exposure and makes skin lighter. Also, useful in pigmentation.
2) Reduces pimple marks.
3) Gives a natural glow to skin.
4) Orange peel controls excessive sebum production in skin.
Doing this once or twice a week will be helpful. One more thing, you need to be patient in order to see the results of this remedy. If do it everyday, depending on how bad your tan is, you'll see the results in a week.
Some precautions you need to take in order to get the full advantage of this:
1) Apply this paste only at night, if in case you apply in day time, don't step out in the sun at least 2 hours after washing it off.
2) Make sure you apply a good sunscreen with UVA and UVB protection every time you step out in the sun. (15 minutes before you step out, as skin needs some time to absorb the cream as well).
Ingredients: peeled orange (grind it), red gram powder, milk (1/2 cup), little bit of turmeric powder and soya wheat.
How to prepare: Take all the above ingredients in equal measure except turmeric powder (little bit will do), mix all of these and make a paste.
How to use: Wash your face and pat dry. Apply this paste on your face and neck, allow it to dry for 20 - 30 minutes. When it dries off, take a little bit of milk, and scrub the paste on your face with this milk gently, and wash it off. Make sure to be gentle to your skin and not rub vigorously. After washing it off, pat dry your skin, and take a cotton dipped in rose water, dab it all over face and neck.
Results (observed by submitter): This is a remedy taught by my mom, and it has helped me a lot.
Also, people with dry skin can also try this out, only additional thing that you need to add in this will be grind 2-3 almonds soaked in water for 4 hours, and instead of using milk, you can use milk cream.
