I have found that drinking 8-10 glasses of water improves the dryness of my skin and has effected in limited my facial wrinkles due to menopause. I began menopause at the early age of 38. By the age of 40, I was fully post-menopausal. I have become very aware of the development of wrinkles amongst my girl friends. I do not believe that it is just coincidence that those of my friends who drink plain water (8+) per day have the least amount of wrinkles. Friends who drink liquids other than water, such as Diet Coke and juices, appear to have a greater relative reduction in skin elasticity.
The bottom line is that drinking 8-10 glasses of water each day appears to have a positive effect in the reduction of facial wrinkles due to aging. At first, you might have to use the bathroom more frequently, but if you keep drinking water, the urgency issues seem to subside significantly.
Beware! Too much water can have adverse effects. Talk to your doctor about how much water you should drink daily for your weight, size and age. I have personally have had great results from drinking 8-10 glasses of water daily. I have been able to slow down the development of new wrinkles and my face seems much clearer and fresh looking. I have been told that I look at least 10 years younger than my age. In contrast, my sister, who drinks very little water, looks 10 years older than I do. It's great and it won't cost you anything.
