Skin Care Tip: Add gelatin to your diet

submitted by Anonymous

Adding gelatin to one's diet can greatly improve the condition of one's skin. This can be done in a variety of ways. The simplest way would be to use gelatin packets which are available at any grocery store and prepare as directed. Another way would be to buy gelatin supplements from any health food store. They are usually marketed as skin, hair and nail supplements. I supplement my diet with classic meat stock. It is a broth made from the bones of beef, chicken or fish. Recipes for meat stocks can be found in many traditional cookbooks. I prefer "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" by Julia Child. The bones and connective tissues used in stock are excellent sources of calcium and collagen proteins, which contribute to healthy skin. I'm often complimented on the tone, texture and clarity of my skin. I'm also often mistaken for someone 5-10 years younger than my age. I don't breakout or experience excessively dry skin.
