Skin Care Tip: Rehydrating skin with water

submitted by Paula Owen Viola, Madrid , Spain

Tip description / details:
I have been a professional make-up artist for over 25 years. I am 52 years old and have exceptionally youthful, smooth skin. I attribute this to a discovery I made many years ago through using the Erno Lazlo product line and methods of cleansing the skin. In my early 20's I developed acne and tried everything including going to a dermatologist to improve my skin. The Lazlo products were all acid balanced, I basically used a non-soap cleansing bar (sea mud soap), a gentle toner and a good moisturizer. The products were good, but what made the difference was how they were used. Dr. Erno Lazlo believed that water was needed to re-balance and hydrate the skin. Every morning and evening I would fill my bathroom sink with very warm water (not too hot), use my cleanser thoroughly and then begin to splash my face with this clean warm water 30 times. The action of splashing the face opens the pores for a great cleansing, stimulates the dermis, helps exfoliate and leaves the skin glowing. I have recommended this system to many people, women and men and everyone seems to benefit from it.

Ingredients:
milky cleanser; gentle slightly foaming cleanser; sink full of very warm water; gentle toner; good moisturizer

How to prepare:
all of the products can be purchased a clean basin and towels

How to use:
In a clean sink begin by running the hot water, fill the sink. The water should be very warm, not scalding or too uncomfortable. First use a cleansing milk all over the face to remove make-up, then use a gentle slightly foaming ph balanced cleanser (using circular motions, thoroughly cleanse the skin avoiding the eye area). Then splash the skin 30 times

Results (observed by submitter):
Immediately the skin is glowing, feels softer, is stimulated, cleaner and the dermis is plumped up and less lined after finishing the cleansing treatment and applying moisturizer.

Costs involved:
no cost
