Skin Care Tip: Hand care with olive oil
|
submitted by Marlene, New York, NY USA
Tip description / details: Due to years of neglect and not protecting my hands from the elements - cold weather or dishwashing. My advanced age aside. My hands are not pretty. The skin is weathered and wrinkly. But, I have discovered a remedy. Olive oil.
Ingredients: Extra virgin olive oil, cosmetic gloves. Pan for heating.
How to prepare: In pan, heat up about 2 tbsp of olive to very warm. Do not allow the oil to smoke. Just hot enough to touch.
How to use: Before bedtime. Massage the oil into hands working well between fingers and nail beds - kneading and stretching fingers. Put gloves on. Sleep with gloves on. For me doing this 3 days in a row produces remarkable effects. However, not permanent. Must be done with regularity for more lasting results.
Results (observed by submitter): Smoother, less wrinkly skin. I haven't experimented yet. But, I would assume this would have effect on the neck also.
Costs involved: pennies
