Homemade Skin Care Recipe: Fresh Enzyme Peel
|
submitted by Marie Whitman, Miami, FL USA
Tip description / details: The Fresh Enzyme Peel gently exfoliates without a peeling phase. It leaves the skin feeling soft and glowing, without burning and irritation.
Ingredients:
1 capsule of Nature's Life Bromelain & Papain Proteolytic Enzymes; 1 tablespoon of finely crushed fresh papaya seeds (papaya seeds will stay fresh for 1 week in the refrigerator if kept covered); 2 teaspoons filtered water
How to prepare: Crush the fresh papaya seeds using a small mortar and pestle. Open the Papaya & Bromelain Enzyme capsule and combine it's contents with the crushed papaya seeds and water to form a spreadable paste.
How to use: Gently massage this paste on the skin and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse with water. Caution: avoid eye area; if the paste gets into the eye, rinse quickly with water.
Results (observed by submitter): The enzyme peel leaves my skin smooth and glowing. It is a gentle peel, and is great to use for improving the appearance of dull skin without any subsequent peeling.
Costs involved: About $10 for enzyme capsules; good for many peels
