Homemade Skin Care Recipe: Baking Soda, aspirin and toothbrush for acne prone oily skin
|
submitted by Chasity Mullins, wise, VA USA
Tip description / details: I use baking soda mixed with water (or sometimes mixed with my facial cleanser by Avene called Diacneal -- it is soap free and I LOVE it) as a scrub for my face and apply it with a soft double-headed spin electric toothbrush (being careful not to press hard). I have very oily skin, prone to acne, sun damage and some mild scaring. I had read on website, doctors use baking soda for scar revision, so I thought I would give it a try. I also use asprin as an exfoliator and as a nighttime mask (leaving it on all night). Both work great for me. My skin is so much better, blackheads are mostly gone especially on my chin they are all gone and hardly any acne breakouts. I do this maybe once every week or two. Moisturize afterwards.
Ingredients: Baking Soda, Electric double-head spin toothbrush, asprin, water
How to prepare: Baking soda mixed with water. Asprin mixed with water. Wet toothbrush.
How to use: Dip toothbrush in baking soda (or asprin) water paste and apply to face, especially where you have blackheads.
Results (observed by submitter): Clean looking skin! No more blackheads!
Costs involved: $5.00
