Weight Loss Tip: Ginger stimulates metabolism
|
submitted by Anonymous
Tip description / details: Using fresh ginger root to make fresh juice in a high concentration assists with weight loss. I lost 30kg and have kept it off, over the years I had tried many dietry changes but really had trouble shifting the weight and feeling energetic until incorporating ginger into my diet daily.
Ingredients: Using a juice extractor (I use a breville juice plus) I juice a small carrot, a whole tomato, an apple, an orange and a large piece of ginger (between 60 and 80 grams in weight) about the size of a small kiwi fruit.
How to prepare: Juice all together, the ginger in this juice is very strong, you cannot distinguish the other flavours as the ginger will be hot, strong and overwhelming. Simply add all ingredients one after the other, in no particular order.
How to use: Once the juice has been made, simply pour into a glass and drink. I find it easiest to drink through a straw and drink quickly, as it is strong and hard to swallow if you try to sip it.
Results (observed by submitter): I strongly beleive that I had a better feeling of well being, better circulation and a much faster metabolism. The weeks that I consumed the ginger juice (about four weeks straight) were the weeks I experienced the best weight loss. I walked half an hour each day and consume a sensible balanced diet, but avoid sugar and highly processed foods. Even now, 5 years after losing my weight, I resort to ginger juice if I need to shed a couple of kilos.
